How can I use AI to generate a weekly or month property report?

Property Reports allow you to generate weekly or monthly summaries of activity across a property. You can choose exactly what information to include, and if AI is enabled, Nines will transform the activity into a clear, easy-to-read report with highlights, outstanding items, and open questions.

Without AI enabled, reports simply list the selected Tasks, Logs, Events, and Projects.

Configure the report

Choose the settings for your report:

  • Internal name for the report
  • Date range (such as Last week or Last 30 days)
  • Report style (AI only)
    • Bullet-point summary
    • Written narrative
  • Custom prompt (optional)

A custom prompt allows you to tailor the report to your audience or priorities.

For example:

  • Focus on maintenance risks and budget impact.
  • Summarize only significant completed work.
  • Highlight items requiring owner approval.
  • Emphasize upcoming preventative maintenance.

Choose what to include

You can include any combination of:

  • Tasks
  • Logs
  • Events
  • Projects

Each section can be turned on or off independently.

For every section, you can also choose whether to include:

  • Attachments
  • Comments

Additionally, you can filter by one or more categories, allowing you to include only the types of work that matter for that report.

For example, you might include:

  • Maintenance Tasks
  • Landscaping Logs
  • Household Events
  • Renovation Projects

while excluding everything else.

Generate the report

Click Generate property report.

Nines compiles the selected information into a single report.

AI-generated reports

When AI is enabled, Nines analyzes the selected activity and creates a cohesive report rather than simply listing records.

Depending on the style you selected, the report can be presented as:

  • A concise bullet-point summary
  • A polished written narrative

AI organizes information into useful sections such as:

  • Overview – A summary of the reporting period.
  • Highlights – Important completed work, accomplishments, and notable activity.
  • Outstanding – Work that remains incomplete or requires attention.
  • Upcoming – Scheduled work, preventative maintenance, and future events.
  • Questions – Items that may require owner or manager review, clarification, or decisions.

This makes reports much easier to review and share with homeowners, estate managers, family offices, or other stakeholders. You have the ability to edit any headings and bullets before finalizing the report.

Reports without AI

If AI is not enabled, Nines still generates a report using the same selected data.

Instead of creating summaries, the report presents the selected Tasks, Logs, Events, and Projects as organized lists, making it easy to review all activity that occurred during the reporting period.

Share your report

Once generated, you can review the report, make edits if needed, and share it with others directly from Nines.

Any images attached to the selected Tasks, Logs, Events, or Projects are automatically gathered and included in the report.

Before sharing the report, you can review all collected images and decide which ones to include.

You can:

  • Keep all images
  • Remove images that aren't relevant
  • Add additional images that help provide context

This gives you complete control over the visual content included in the final report, ensuring recipients see the most relevant photos from the reporting period.

Reports can serve as recurring operational updates for homeowners, estate managers, family offices, or other stakeholders.

Notes
  • Reports are generated for one Property at a time.
  • You control exactly which modules, categories, attachments, and comments are included.
  • AI-generated reports are intended to save time by organizing and summarizing activity, but important details should always be reviewed before sharing externally.
