# How do I add users to a household?

If you're the **[Account Owner](https://go.ninesliving.com/en/support/who-is-the-account-owner-and-how-to-change?hsLang=en)** and have access to the [**Admin Console**](https://go.ninesliving.com/en/support/what-is-the-admin-console?hsLang=en), you’ll see a list of Households along with the number of properties associated with each. Only [Multi-Client accounts](https://go.ninesliving.com/en/support/what-is-a-multi-client-account-and-how-can-i-get-this-started?hsLang=en) will see more than one Household listed.

To add a user to a Household, navigate to the **Access** section in the Admin Console. Click on the user, then select **Attach to Household**, and choose the Household you want to assign them to.

Next, assign the appropriate permissions role for that Household. This feature allows you to manage both access and role-based permissions for each user by Household.

NOTE: don't forget to separately [assign any property permissions](https://go.ninesliving.com/en/support/how-do-i-set-and-manage-a-users-permission-to-properties?hsLang=en) to this user to be able to access any related household information.
