# How do I mention and link to my information?

Just like [any of the information you add to Nines can be searched in the Quick find search box](https://go.ninesliving.com/en/support/how-do-i-search-for-my-information?hsLang=en) in the top right corner, it can also be tagged using the @ symbol (for People) or # symbol (for other Objects) and start writing the name of the item (incl Zones, Assets, Vendors, Tasks and Logs).

If you mention another user in a Log or Description/Important Information field box, [they will be notified about you mentioning them](https://go.ninesliving.com/en/support/what-are-notifications-about-mentions?hsLang=en). After that, the mention will act as a link to that user's profile. If you mention something else (also possible in Protocols, List items, Task comments, etc), it will also act as a link. This can be helpful to link from an Asset or Protocols chapter to a Staff member or Vendor.
