How do I tailor a Household for yachts?

Nines can customize a Household with a yachting-specific experience designed for managing one or more vessels. This replaces standard household terminology with yacht-focused navigation, making it easier for captains, crew, and management teams to organize vessel operations.

Note: A Household can use either standard property terminology or yachting terminology—not both. If you need to manage both homes and yachts, Nines can create separate Households for each.

What changes in a yachting Household?

Once enabled, your Household is customized with navigation and terminology designed specifically for yacht operations.

Examples include:

• Properties become Vessels
• Assets become Inventory
• Residents become Owners
• Staff becomes Crew
• Property-specific organization is replaced with vessel-specific organization

This structure provides a more natural workflow for managing one or multiple yachts while maintaining the same powerful organization and collaboration features available throughout Nines.

How do I enable the yachting experience?

Yachting Households are enabled by the Nines team.

To get started, contact Nines Support and let us know that you would like to:

• Convert an existing Household to the yachting experience, or
• Create a new Household specifically for your yacht or fleet

Our team will configure your Household and ensure it is tailored to your operational needs.

Can I manage homes and yachts together?

No. A single Household cannot contain both standard property terminology and yachting terminology.

If you manage both residences and yachts, we recommend creating:

• One Household for your homes using the standard Nines experience
• A separate Household for your yacht or fleet using the yachting experience

This keeps each environment optimized for the way your team works.

• The yachting experience is available for single vessels or multi-vessel operations.
• Existing data can be discussed with Nines Support before converting a Household.
