How do I use AI to generate lists?

Note: AI features must be enabled by an account administrator. If you do not see the AI option, contact your admin.

When you create a list in Nines — such as a maintenance checklist, move-in list, seasonal preparation plan, or something custom — you can now start with AI-generated list items. This gives you a head start with pretty much infinite list templates and speeds up your list creation workflow.

How It Works

  1. Create a New List – Start a list and enter a name, description, and category.

  2. Generate Suggestions – Choose to have Nines generate list items based on the details you provided. The AI interprets your inputs to produce a first draft of items.

  3. Review & Refine – You can edit, delete, or add items as needed, giving you flexibility to adapt the list to your exact requirements.

Example

If you’re creating a property maintenance list and include terms like “daily, monthly, annual tasks,” the system might generate organized items under those time categories automatically — giving you a structured starting point that you can adjust.

Tips for Best Results

  • Provide as much context as possible in the list name and description to get the most accurate suggestions.

  • Use clear categories when prompted — these help the AI recognize the purpose of your list and improve its suggestions.
