What has changed in the early March 2024 update?
Overall, the updated version of Nines is much faster, more intuitive, and extra secure. We rebuilt the platform so we can grow more and move faster over the next few months and years. Now, we'll be able to incorporate your feedback on a bi-weekly basis and deliver new improvements all the time.
Here are some specifics about what's new:
- Properties overview with photos and a visual indicator for primary residence so you can see all properties at a glance
- Property filter moved from the top-level navigation bar to a new dropdown within pages (this change allows you to use the dropdown as a filter, and select multiple properties at once — if you don't select a property in the dropdown, you'll be able to see all results across your account)
- Updated detail page layout with photo(s) and information in the middle (only fields you've filled out show up here, but you can always click the edit button to add more information), and relevant logs and documents in an expandable column on the right
- Breadcrumbs to keep track of where you are in the account, which make it easy to go back to another level in the site hierarchy (click on the breadcrumb to jump directly to another page)
- Assets tab on each Zone
- Updated Filter experience with expanding section in the lefthand pane, allowing easy filtering by category
- Permission roles at category level with View vs Create vs Update vs Delete options, giving you more granular options for controlling permissions settings
- Category custom management for Assets, Contacts, Documents, Lists, Tasks, Vendors, and Zones, giving you the ability to add custom categories and delete (pre-set or custom) categories you don't use
-
Ability to reorder, expand and zoom in on images
-
Ability to add and preview any browser-supported documents, videos and other files under Documents
-
Protocols are tied to each individual property, rather than one set of protocols across the household

You will notice a few things have changed, and some items have been removed from the platform.
- There is no Dashboard anymore. Instead, the first page you'll see when you log in is the Properties overview. We are developing a better Dashboard, and in the meantime, any Important Information that used to be on the Dashboard can now be found on the Household page under your profile
- The ability to share Tasks has been removed. We are developing a better, and more secure way to share any information in your account (which means, for example, you'll be able to share multiple tasks at once, or share a task, zone, asset, and document all together).
- Tasks and Lists can only be assigned to one property at a time (for now). This is to limit issues with property permissions, as well as issues with permissions when tasks are a part of lists. While this is the most secure and effective way to handle this from a product perspective, we're working to build a new way to assign multiple properties to tasks and lists. In the meantime, any tasks and lists that were previously associated with multiple properties have been duplicated to create one for each property.
