How do I get started with Nines?

While Nines aims to be easy and intuitive, it is good to think through your approach before getting started using Nines. Our platform is a means to an end, so what is your end goal? What do other stakeholders need to get from the system that informs what to put in? Our in-house estate management consultant can help you, talking through your specific situation and how to organize your information and empower all the different stakeholders.

That said, a general approach to getting started is to first built out a foundation, and over time add more details, because aiming to have every last detail in Nines from the start is unrealistic and overwhelming.

You can find a '9 steps to get started with Nines' List Template in your account, but it comes down to:

Create your property/ies and zones
Consider protocols for every property
Add your most important people, most likely residents and staff, maybe some vendors
- Before inviting anyone the admin will first want to manage the categories and then set permission roles based on them so you assign new users the correct role and rights

Put in the most important assets and some additional vendors that help maintain them
Include important household contacts, ranging from family & friends to local emergency contacts
And start using Nines by creating lists, assigning tasks, and adding documents and logs as you go
